I’m a writer and newly-minted travel gal looking for the most transformative experiences to share with my family. My husband and I are raising two children, one boy and one girl, with one foot deeply rooted in our home of Arvada, Colorado and the other in the land of adventure.
I didn’t grow up with a passport in my drawer—or even a piece of luggage to call my own. My parents took my sister and me to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan every year, where we stayed with family and explored the channels, learned to fish and swim, and dove off the docks (well, the bravest of us did, at least. I was always a little too scared). Those family trips will always be precious to me.
But.
It wasn’t until I met my now-husband, Felipe, that I started seeing the world as a place to explore.
A place where I could feel less alone.
A place to heal wounds I’ve caused. To challenge my understanding of place, humanity, and responsibility.
I learned that travel was an opportunity to expand.
When we had children, we knew we wanted to travel with them, and I knew that I wanted to continue to see how travel could shape my life and my view of the world.
So we did.
We’ve designed a digital nomad, location-free business with different avenues for income—all of which we can do from anywhere in the world.
I’m a copywriter and poet, leader of a growing web solutions company and an active part of a messaging specialist firm.
Passports in hand, we’re gradually teaching our children what it’s like to embrace the unknown.
